Public Health is the umbrella term used for protecting and promoting safety and health of people and their communities. This happens through education, policy making, surveillance and unifying organisational choices on a public and private level.

 

 

New Zealand’s public health and disability services in are delivered by a complex network of organisations and workers. This year has seen a huge emphasis on the role of the public health team and has highlighted the major part they play in the health and wellbeing of New Zealanders.
